The latest news from the Security Industry Authority (SIA)
  1. In response to the recent events in Manchester, we want to reinforce and emphasise the importance of vigilance and of reporting any concerns to the anti-terrorist hotline.
  2. We are running a series of events across the UK to promote violence reduction measures within the night-time economy. Our first one is on the 25th of April in Ipswich.
  3. The level of threat is complex and ranges from lone actors intent on carrying out crude attacks to sophisticated networks pursuing ambitious and coordinated plots.
  4. The contracts that the SIA has with external assessment bodies are due to come to an end in March 2017.
  5. On Tuesday 7 March 2017 Christopher David Price pleaded guilty at Cardiff and Vale Magistrates Court, for the offence of working as a Door Supervisor without an SIA licence.
